Theatre Jeusette
In a heavily industrialized part of Belguim, is Theatre Jusette. Built in 1948 as a theatre and meeting room for workers of the Steel plant which was just around the corner.
The theatre ran for 50 years until 1998 now in the age of austerity the steel works were wound down and the theate just couldnt attract the numbers that it used to. The steel works struggled on for another 3 years untill 1998 when it also closed.
The Theatre was sold to the city in 2010 and orginally there were plans in place to turn it into a cultural centre, but unfortunately the Theatre appears to be in the wrong part of town and I believe that there are new plans to demolish the entire site.
