Grands Moulins de Paris
Not far from Lille is this rather impressive looking building, which surprisingly given the detail and care in the external architecture is (or was) a flour Mill.
Grands Moulins de Paris (Marquette-lez-Lille) - The buildings rather impressive full title was designed by the architect Vuagnaux and built in the neo-Flemish style and opened in 1921. It processed wheat grain into flour for 68 years before closure in 1989.
The Mill has sat abandoned since with periodic fires happening which have taken out most of the internal floors. The site has apparently been purchased for regeneration but as of 2014 nothing much was happening.
