republican stadium
Not too much to say about this one, the Republican Stadium is located quite near the central market and is quite a nice little wander on the edge of town.
I am pretty sure that this was the main stadium for Sukhum until the war. AFter the war parts appear to have been left but the main stadium stand has been refurbished and I wish I had a picture of it but the chairs are now laid out the represent the colours of the flag of Abkhazia
There is now a new stadium for football and the home of that was opened in 2015 called "Dinamo Stadium and is the official home of Dinamo Sukhumi. In 2016 Sukhumi hosted the 2106 conIFA, which is an international football tournament for states, minorities, stateless peoples and regions.
