motel vartnik
Bit of an odd one this, i had found it almost by accident and the pictures (from 2 years ago) where quite promising, they showed a large bar area with 1970's lamps and chairs stacked up in one corner. It was only about a half hour drive from our apartment so we decided to check it out.
What we hadn't realised is that the road on which the hotel sits gives a lovely high vantage point over the descending hill to the bay and sea below. When we arrived so had 2 coaches of Polish holiday makers all jostling their way to the front in order to get the best picture of the beautiful view, parking haphazardly between the 2 coaches we said "Good Day" (one of the Polish phrases we know) and made our way through the crowd, only for one old gentleman to follow us up the steps to the hotel, he obviously was bored with the view and wondered what we were up to!
In the end the story of getting there was better than the hotel inside. Since the picture I had seen was taken the motel seems to have been party central for some smash happy kids, the central staircase had been removed and not a lot was left - The view was good through :)
